People in America have t-shirts with JESUS written on them or 100% Catholic, or God says no to abortion- asking the woman wearing it how she knew didn't go down well but these are just as barmy as Che the commie bastard.

Because they agree with his ideals. And some because they don't have a clue who he is but think it looks cool.

A lot of them of course are wearing them for no viable reason, other than to seem intelligent and come across as different. Some however, persist that they're firm believers in communism and want to overthrow the UK government in a similar way to which Batista was couped . Good luck to them , I say.

The shirts play an important role in helping the mature politicians to separate the true left-wing supporters and the faggy hippies who just want to "stick it to the man" whilst not actually understanding/knowing of/believing in left-wing ideologies.

It's not as bad as people who adhere to left wing ideologies calling themselves liberals though. They are far worse than Che T shirt wearers
It's such a Cliche.

Since when was it trendy to worship a mass murderer?

2 years ago my uncle got me a Che Guevara t-shirt for christmas. To this day, I have not worn it once...not because I don't like it, but because I am not in support of extreme left-wing marxism, so why would I wear a t-shirt supporting that?
dunno, he was a brutal totalitarian who rooted out the Democratic Socialists from within his own party in order to rule in a Stalinist/Soviet manner. read up on his "labour camps", they were used to torture and kill dissidents, homosexuals and anyone who had AIDS. he was a despicable character and it is of constant disgust to me that other people who call themselves "left wing" support him or idolise him, he was not a Leftist and indeed the Left should oppose him in the same way we do Stalin.
