They're like people! There's like a thousand rooms there, so it's pretty safe to assume a lot of variety.
I've been placed in Radford House in Rowancroft, slightly disappointed because I'm studying at Streatham, but is there anything anyone can tell me about my accommodation? There's so little information on it!

Anything you can tell me, really! Pros/cons, general atmosphere, if it's really as far as it sounds to campus...

I don't know much about the accommodation but if you walk at a decent pace you can be in the middle of campus in about 20 minutes from there.
Anyone here get northfield? There doesn't seem to be a lot of information on it and it would be really helpful if anyone could tell me anything about it.
Just come back from the open Day today but didn't have time to go see any accommodation! Just went round in circles!! Can someone just give a little advice. Which is better: Cook Mews, Rowancroft Mews or St David's.

Also, what is the difference between the 40, 42 and 44 week lets. do the 40 week lets no include Xmas and Easter or?!

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Is Rowancroft mews mainly medics and sports students? I'm not sure my self esteem will survive living with too many fit, healthy organised people! (not to stereotype but.. yea ..well actually quite a lot of stereotyping...) also anyone know how long it takes to cycle to main campus?
Hi my name is Alice and I am a 2nd year Law student at Exeter currently looking for 2 housemates to join me and my friend Torie next year, my current housemates are graduating this year but I am keeping hold of the house as it is lovely

We are two easy going girls looking for similar to join us whether male or female, on the same course or not etc. All of the rooms are double, we have a big kitchen, upstairs and downstairs loo, and a little walled off garden. As the previous owners painted giant sunflowers on the back wall we have aptly named the house 'sunflower house'.
:flower2:

Look forward to hearing from you!!

Alice
Hey
I will hopefully be starting at Exeter next year. I've had an offer to do psychology with sport and exercise science, which means I'll need to regularly visit streatham and St Luke's campus. Can anyone recommend nice accommodation which has easy access to both campuses? Preferably self catered and ensuite!
Thank you!

James Owen Court is quite in the "middle". It's a 15 min walk to Streatham and I think it's about a 10 minute walk to St.Lukes. I lived here for the previous semester, and I liked it. Although I thought a 15 min walk to campus were awful in the beginning, you really get used to it. It's close to the city centre (1 minute to tesco express) and about 5-10 min walk to the high street (with all the shops, bars, clubs and restaurants nearby).
James Owen Court only provide en-suite rooms, and shared kitchen with 3-8 people I think. Feel free to ask if you want to know more, or want to see photos

Where do most students in 2nd/3rd year live? Might be transferring there next year; I don't want to go back into Uni accommodation but I still want a chance to meet lots of other students too
I've applied for Sport and Exercise science in St Luke's and was wondering if anyone knew the best place to apply for accommodation? Hopefully I'll be using the Sports Facilities in Streatham quite a bit too so is there any accommodation that suits both??

I live at Exeter Trust House which is private student accommodation so not run by the uni but basically the same thing except it's not full of freshers. A few people here study at St Lukes as it's about a 12min walk there, 15-20 to Streatham and 5 to town. Unfortunately the Streatham sports facilities are the furthest point from just about anywhere if you're not living on campus. There are some uni accommodations in town that are closer to St Lukes like James Owen Court which is right next to where I am but it takes a good 30 minutes to get the gym. There are others closer to Streatham, but then further from St Lukes. Unfortunately you can't really be close to both

Most students get houses/flats in town on streets like Pennsylvania, Pinhoe, Victoria, Union... There are loads of students looking for flatmates if you want to do that, just check out the Facebook Freshers page or the Studentpad on the uni website. Otherwise there's also private student accommodation in town which is essentially the same thing as uni halls except very few freshers and run differently, like UNITE or the Printworks.

Hello,

I'm currently staying at Pennsylvania Court, which is part of Exeter Halls, Its catered and ensuite, and is about a 10 minute walk (or just over) to central campus. The closest catered accommodation to town too!

I've been offered Lafrowda ensuite room block C and I have accepted it and have a few questions about the halls.

1.How often do the kitchens get cleaned ?
2.Is there like a social area for all the people in block to socialize or is it just the kitchen cause when I visited the uni,I saw some sofas in the kitchen but I guess that's for the people in the same flat so I was wondering how you could meet other people in the block?
3.Will there be social events in the halls or are they all held in the clubs ?
4.Are there any lifts in new blocks ? My room is on 4th floor and I'm slightly worried how I will make 4 flight of stairs when i'm drunk (sorry lol)

Thanks for answers :-)

Im a first year staying in Lafrowda Block A right now, so Im quite well placed to answer your questions. The kitchens get cleaned about twice a week, and no there isn't a social area for all the people in the block to socialise, but that doesn't really change much, you'll still get to know the most of your block during freshers week so don't worry about that. Social events in halls do occur, but they're quite rare and nobody really goes to any if I'm going to be honest. Club socials though are super fun and a terrific way to meet new people. And since you're in Block C, that's new lafrowda, you'll have a lift so you don't have to worry about struggling to get up 4 flights of stairs when you're intoxicated, or not for that matter  Hope this helped!
