I didn't, but have no fear - you're not alone in your hurting. My mum just ranted at me and my dad for fifteen minutes straight.

Haha it was definitely rant worthy! I had no one to rant at apart from my poor facebook friends unfortunately! I think they might all hate me now to be honest! :P

I had a lovely trip down to the Gower with one of my friends today. We visited some of the places I haven't been to since I was a child. It was so lovely, despite the rain. Love that area of the world

Haha I had chips too! Well my friend had her car with her so we drove down and then pretty much climbed down a mountain to get to the beach! Killed me going back up but it was a nice couple of hours on the beach so worth it! I'd definitely advise you do! Also Three Cliffs is gorgeous, though I've not been for a looong time! :frown:
I noticed the first ad for this on MTV tonight, during Geordie Shore. It involved somebody calling themselves the 'Beyoncé of the Valleys', and three sheep dancing with microphones. Here's the website for it, if anybody's interested: http://www.mtv.co.uk/shows/the-valleys

The Valleys Is Coming!

Fresh from the success of Geordie Shore - MTV UK’s biggest ever show which was filmed in the city of Newcastle - MTV will be heading deep into the South Wales Valleys to find a group of young people from areas such as Tonyrefail and Tonypandy to feature in its next non-scripted show.

Plucked from the tranquillity of Valley life, the cast will be given the opportunity to leave their hamlet towns and change their lives in the city of Cardiff.

Over a 6 week period, audiences will watch as the youngsters balance new job opportunities in a brand new city.

However, despite their new lifestyles, ‘home’ is never far away as the cast will return to The Valleys throughout the series to visit their families and home towns a stark contrast between the lives they’ve left behind and the new lives they are beginning.

Other than that, how is everybody? :h:
Following off from my last post, here's an update on 'The Valleys'.

MTV unveils cast of ‘Welsh Geordie Shore’ The Valleys

The cast of new reality TV show The Valleys

The Valleys will see nine young people from South Wales relocate to the big smoke in this case, Cardiff as they try to realise their career ambitions.

In much the same vein as Geordie Shore, the youngsters are to be placed in a house together and will be assigned a mentor, AK and a boss called Jordan to try and keep them focused on getting their careers off the ground.

Naturally, the expectation is that the cast will spend plenty of time getting drunk and behaving inappropriately on national television over the six-week period featured on the new series.

Hailing from traditional ‘Valleys’ areas like Tonyrefail and Tonypandy, the stars of the new show are hoping to emulate the success of Geordie Shore, which has proved to be the biggest ever show for MTV in terms of ratings.

The cast includes youngsters pursuing a variety of careers, including law and bricklaying, but the new reality show stars all seem to have one thing in common: they want to have a good time.

There's a cast list on the link below too. Looks like they've certainly picked some characters...

And on a complete separate note, I'm moving to Wales next month. :^_^:

What do you guys think of this: http://www.golwg360.com/newyddion/cymru/81829-tair-iaith-i-blant-meddai-leanne-wood

Leanne Wood reckons kids in Wales should be immersed into learning Welsh and another foreign language from the age of three onwards so they leave school trilingual.

Absolutely agree. I've never understood why we don't start learning a foreign language until secondary school. When it comes to learning languages, the younger you are, the better; that's why kids going through Welsh medium will often start their education at the age of 3 rather than 5, so why don't we take advantage of their time in primary school to introduce them to foreign languages? If I'd been introduced to French way back in blwyddyn un perhaps I'd still remember some of it. :P

Enjoy! Cardiff is an amazing city. Does you course offer some kind of year in industry? The BBC film a lot of shows in Cardiff/South Wales.

We should definitely be taught Welsh more often in non-Welsh schools, I only had it once a fortnight and it really annoys me! It should have been once a day in my opinion, when your brain is like a sponge, get as much in there as possible! I hate that due to my less than adequate education in the language, I can't speak Welsh, I'm learning now but it will take me so much longer than if the job had been done properly in the first place! I really agree with Leanne Wood! I'd also be inclined to vote Plaid in the future!

^I 100% agree as well. If Wales did that, we'd be far and away superior to the rest of the UK in terms of MFL learning, and that'd be fantastic. And I like Leanne Wood too; she's really good for Plaid in my opinion in lots of ways, and I really dig the socialist edge.

Aw, I'm starting to realise how much I'm going to miss Wales/Welsh at university.:frown: I'm only going to Bristol so it's not far and there'll be a big Welsh presence I imagine, but I'm still sad. I'm so used to just chatting in Welsh every day, mocking stupid things on S4C with friends, seeing Welsh signposts etc., it'll be a real culture shock being in England.:s-smilie:

We really would! Yeah, I need to look more into their policies but I am starting to think that they are the way forward for Wales and especially culture in Wales, they actually care.

I really missed it when I was in Sussex and it was a 4 and a half hour train journey! :frown: and very few Welshies about! I'm sure in Bristol it'll be brilliant because of how close it is! maybe you could join a Welsh society or form one to chat Welsh to others? Then you'd feel at home! Good luck with uni!
YAY! WELSHIES! I'm actually moving to london in two weeks (today!) but I'm from Bridgend and it'll be nice to have a few home comforts on here.

I don't think there should be Welsh and English language schools. I think we should have one completely bilingual system so we leave school speaking Welsh and English, and with a high proficiency in a foreign language.
