Getting work

I am a prospective undergraduate and was just wondering how easy it is to get work, what's the pay like etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Depends what kind of work you want to do. You're best going into the centre before you start to hand out your CV.

I don't have a CV!!! I've only done work experience at my old school and in a travel agents. What sort of thing could I do?

You can still make a CV. Stick your qualificatios on, and mention your work experience and what it has taught you.

There's loads of pubs and bars which hire students. Lots of students work at the Sugarhouse too (the student union club).

You can also get some work with the uni. Tour guidings good work (min wage but nevermind). Also, sometimes theres a demand for people to take notes for people with a disability. I did that in my first year but it's not neccessarily regular and watch your time! Pubs are always a good bet though
