How to react when your parents find things in your room they shouldn't be finding?

Could be anything embarassing. But what do you do when you can't look them in the eye? So embarassing lol.

Confront them and ask them how they would like it if you rooted through their room?

Then root through their room when they're out and ask them to account for anything you find. See how they like it.

And also, what exactly have they found? It can't be that bad. Just justify why you've got it and ask them how is it any of their business?

Anything embarassing I have is on my computer and my parents are noobs so they don't know how to use them. I am safe. If I did have something they could find however, I would use the classic 'I'm looking after it for a friend' :wink:

My parents come into my room but I don't think they'd ever go through my things...

I certainly hope not. My dad would probably throw me out. :lolwut:

There was this one awkward time when I ordered handcuffs and my dad beat me to the mail and opened the package by accident because we have the same initials. :facepalm:

I don't want to laugh at your misfortune but the handcuffs thing is really funny!

I think it depends what they find OP. If they find porn, then I think you could use the well-you-shouldn't-be-looking-anyway tack, if it's crack cocaine then it's a little different.
