Kent or Nottingham for an AAB psychology choice?

Hi

I'm planning to take Psychology at undergraduate level. At the moment my choices are Southampton, Sussex and Brunel and Portsmouth as back ups. Originally I was going to also pick Warwick. However, they've raised their grade requirements to AAA, which is probably a little too high. Therefore I want another AAB choice, but I can't decide between Kent and Nottingham. Any thoughts?

Thanks
I personally love Nottingham! Depends what you want out of your uni experience, compared to your other choices I think Kent would suit you better.

But Nottingham would definitely be my first choice! The selection of Societies and clubs etc  And the campus is beautiful!

Good luck with your choice
I'd go for Nottingham personally.
Unless there's something that draws you to Kent (location, course structure, etc), I'd go for Nottingham.
Kent is the best

My sister goes there, I really, really wish I could :frown:

It's suddenly the best now because your sister goes there? OK

Nottingham has the best overall reputation compared to the other universities you have put down.

However factors such as course content, location, social/night life, environment are much more important so choose which university would suit you best where you know you will be motivated to do you work.

Notts is better, hands down.

Kent is a good option, if you want to be local to London. However, the Canterbury campus is still far out, the only one that I know of, which is close, is the Medway campus.

I have no idea tbh, I lived in Medway, it was about 1:30 to London, on the normal train, and 45mins on the high speed train.

Don't know anything about Kent, but I went round Nottingham yesterday and it seems like they ease you into uni life rather than chuck you in at the deep end. It seemed like an advanced private school; house monitor lists, everything regulated and lots of rich kids, which could either be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on your viewpoint. My friend's sister goes there- second-year, lives in the city- and she's had her laptop stolen as well as a lot of her friends', and they trawled through the entire place to find the keys to a car outside. Nottingham does have problems with druggies and it's the 'murder capital of the UK'. Not saying it's unmanageable, but it's definitely not the safe option.
