Buy or Loan Books?

Hi,

Been at University for a few months now and I keep getting these really extensive reading lists and sometimes I decided to buy some of the books on there and other times I try and loan them from my library. I just don't know which is better to do as buying them is so expensive and loaning them is risky as often you can't get the right book and can't get if for long enough.

Does anyone have any tips or advice as to how to go about reading lists- would be much appreciated.

James
In my first year i brought all the books. Second and third year i brought the main essential books and tried to get the rest from the library.

Have a look on amazon - some of the books on my list were as little as 1p.

Book fairs are good but I missed mine so I used iswapbooks it was pretty good as I got most of the expensive books for a quarter of the price, I even got an accounting book that was RRP of £40 for £3!

I have found that you have to buy the books as people always hide books in the wrong places in the library and there is always a rush to loan a book once a reading list is released...
