The Student Room Group

RGU vs. University of Kent

The course in RGU is Computing for Graphics and Animation, while that in Kent is Digital Arts (with a year in industry). I can't decide which uni is better. Can anyone please share his/her opinion about the unis, what life is like in Aberdeen/Canterbury, campus, costs, etc.

Any help will be appreciated!
Thank you in advance! :colondollar:
I'd go to Kent if it's offering you a year in industry, as many students end up getting permanent employment from it.

Aberdeen is definitely an expensive city, but mind you so is Canterbury probably given its location to London. That's another thing to consider: would rather be up here in the north of Scotland or down in Kent? Up here we're really close to some beautiful scenery and quite a quiet city overall, if that's your thing.

Thank you for the reply!
Well, there is an optional 16-week placement in RGU as well. It doesn't really matter how north I'm going - I am used to warm weather so both Canterbury and Aberdeen will seem a bit of strange to me with its weather
