Re: English Literature AQA OF MICE AND MEN predicted questions 22nd May 2012
A good bet would be Slim, Crooks, Curley or Curley's wife.
Previous questions under the new spec have been about:
-Candy (Jan 2011)
-George and Lennie (June 2011)
-The bunkhouse inhabitants / migrant workers (Jan 2012)
I would say that Crooks and Curley's wife would be more likely, since there isn't much you can say relating Slim or especially Curley to features of life in the 1930s.
But it could also be a group like in the January 2012 paper.
If it is Crooks or Curley's wife some good passages to revise would be:
-Curley's wife's entry in section 2
-The start of section 4 when Crooks' room is introduced
-After Lennie's puppy dies in section 5
-When Curley's wife comes into Crooks' room with Lennie and Candy -
Re: English Literature AQA OF MICE AND MEN predicted questions 22nd May 2012
Am I the only one finding it really hard to revise for this exam? I've re-read the whole book, looked at all the characters and looked at the theme, yet I still feel unprepared...
It's so unpredictable what is going to come up tomorrow. -
Re: English Literature AQA OF MICE AND MEN predicted questions 22nd May 2012No we choose which one(Original post by physicshelpme)
do we have to do both question a and b or do we choose? I'm so confused
so on question 1 you choose a or b and the same goes for question 2 -

Re: English Literature AQA OF MICE AND MEN predicted questions 22nd May 2012What about Curley do you think it will be? PM or post back if you can.(Original post by QuantumSuicide)
Guys, it's obvious one of the questions will be about Curley - trust me.
Like his mood/attitude towards his wife? -
Re: English Literature AQA OF MICE AND MEN predicted questions 22nd May 2012Have absolutely no idea, maybe the scene where his hand gets crushed by Lennie.(Original post by goodmorningworld)

Re: English Literature AQA OF MICE AND MEN predicted questions 22nd May 2012This site is good for anyone who want to do last minute revision on the themes http://www.shmoop.com/of-mice-and-men/themes.html its quite short though(Original post by goodmorningworld)
I think there is going to be a question on theme, because the examiner report thing mentioned that people tend to prefer the character questions: think it's gonna be mixed up a little

Re: English Literature AQA OF MICE AND MEN predicted questions 22nd May 2012
I am with the WJEC board but i do believe that its probably going to be about Candy's hand and how that was important, or about the dog and how he changed the novel when he was alive. However it could be about Slims grandma he talked about on page 89
