Missed out 17 marks. So many people missed out 12 marks on the CoM question...it was crazy. But despite that im still really happy at how it went! Grade boundaries should be hell low. What did you guys think? And ha anyone got an unofficial mark scheme for this?
This exam was a nightmare! Think i got around 15 marks in total. Goodbye Nottingham and probably goodbye university.

The second part of the proof question was horrible
what did people get for k, on the weird cone CofM question?
overall i found it quite hard but think i did alright :s-smilie:

Hardest paper for a good few years, managed to get most of it though I think/hope.

Got all the CoM question, not sure on my value of K, i think it was around 0.25 though, didn't seem right

k=5/4 ?

I got 5/4 for K
When will someone post the solutions? We do still have Arseys back, right? :colondollar:
I'm gunna forget my answers by tomorrow morning!
These are the answers I got (can't remember the questions I'm afraid)
1a. -4e^-2x (this was the acceleration from v = 2e^-x)
1b. x = ln(2t+1)
2a. 1.5
2b. 24
2c. 0.182
3. 223.5N and 76.5N (this was the tension question)
4a. The centre of mass was something like 5/4a? (proof)
4b. k = 5/8 (think this is wrong!) General consensus that this is 5/4 - hopefully some marks before I messed up and divided by 2?
5. Proof?
6. Proof?
7a. 0.9 proof Mainly wrong hereafter I think...
7b. 1.4
7c. proof?
7d. 1.3?

Not sure how accurate any of the answers are - thoughts?

Yeah fairly sure my answer of 5/8 is wrong :/ and 7d I think I put down two different answers... let's hope one's right!
Lol in a fit of panic I didnt get 1b in terms of x, but whatever. I was annoyed at the sector-based CoM proof. I was so confused by my wrong answer until I read that the angle is 2alpha 1minute before the end! -.- Dissapointing, but luckily I only need 180 ums from M3, M4 and Fp2 to get my A in FMaths

i got k= 1/2? how exactly were u supposed to work it out? other then that most of these look quite familiar...

7D was 4.20, and K was 5/4, I think. The proof was horrible.

I agree with 1-4a. 4b I also got k = 5/8 but apparently it's wrong. 7b and d I got different answers I think (definitely for b) but I'm pretty sure I got it wrong somewhere.
