That's charming. There's something quite exciting about receiving a letter from a friend which a text message will never do. It's a great way to keep mementos too! Keep every letter in a large box and read it again in a few years. I send mail to my girlfriend from time to time, just because she seems to really enjoy it. My latest has been a post card detailing London in the Spring - London in the Spring is nice.
I write to the bf and people I've told think it's weird
Well for the LFB, you get free entry into the London Dungeon! I'm not sure if that's the same throughout all emergency services - give them a call and ask, if you're interested. There's also Kew Garden which runs under the same scheme. You also get either 20% of 02 or Orange I believe. Are you under the emergency services on the medical side of things or does your working with NHS allow you these discounts also? I know the Met Police share a lot of our discounts!
Yeah, I believe we share a lot of discounts! I thought it was the same for NHS, Mets and the LFB Do you know any website which gives a comprehensive list for all the discounts? I just know the ones I know via word of mouth and then confirming via google I work on the medical side of things But I think even those who do admin work for the NHS get the discounts

Ah sorry to hear I'd help if I could with the decoration
I'm borrowing paint brushes and things from my sister :-)
I'm also making my bf a card. Ooof this is difficult.
For some reason, can't reply to your PM, but that is REALLY epic! How long did it take you? That's really nice of you
Yeah, you're not my friend
Um, in total it took around 12 hours, I think - about 4 hours sewing a night for 3 nights. The card making didn't take long in comparison. He absolutely loved it, though, so it was worth it.
