What is considered a useless degree?

Having seen the "Is maths a useless degree?!" thread, thought I'd make this to see peoples opinions?

Media Studies.

I don't think any degrees are completely useless.

Photography seems to be of very little value though.

Yeah, nothing's completely useless. I would say art is pretty useless though. If you want to become an artist, if you have talent and the drive to practice then a degree isn't necessary. That said, there may be other careers that you need an art degree for that i'm not aware of.
David Beckham studies- come on, how can anyone argue that's not a useless degree

One that don't get you a job.

I always think of a degree that trains you to do precisely one thing as being less good.
a useless degree is a degree that doesn't benefit your life in any way.

All degrees can be useless if you then go into a career that does not require you to have a degree in that subject.
And obviously by the same logic no degree is useless if it is necessary for you to achieve what you want out of life.

Isn't that pretty much History though? But focusing on a specific period rather than a wide range.

All Arts degrees are useless, like wtf are you gonna do with an English degree, or History (apart from the obvious Historian or teacher/lecturer)? ROFL. Maths and Science FTW.

Some of these examples make subjects like Media Studies, Photography, etc, seem like an Engineering degree in comparison:

Harry Potter and the Age of Illusion Durham University

How to Train the Jedi Way Queen’s University, Belfast

Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame University of South Carolina

Politicizing Beyonce Rutger’s University, New Jersey

Equestrian Psychology Glyndwr University

Spoiler

Harry Potter and the Age of Illusion is/was an optional module in Education Studies.

Training the Jedi way was a one day course.

I'll give you the other three, though I'm not entirely convinced students were permitted to major in Beyonce or Gaga.

It's basically what's involved with studying Classics but transferred to another geographical region and period of history. So quite a rigorous degree if a somewhat niche area of study. :colonhash:
I bet 9 times out of 10 that the people who bash on a degree will have never have even looked at the course/graduate jobs...(reference to History, Maths etc)
