When someone blocks you on MSN and then unblocks you ...

... you get NO popup in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

So people who start chatting to you on MSN just out of the blue, when they weren't online before, and don't have a Busy/Offline status, they HAD BLOCKED YOU and then unblocked you.

Yeah not true. When you unblock someone you appear online to them and so do pop up. If you were busy/away/ etc then back online then you dont 'pop' back.

That's not true, because you can click block/unblock/block/unblock repeatedly so that right hand side of their screen fills up with little blue boxes.

I tested my theory and I was right though, no POPup came on.

I was online

They probably had their status set to busy/away. You don't get pop-ups then.

yea well if one is doing the blocking and unblocking is offline then thats pretty obvious-it aint gonna pop up. i just tried with the one getting blocked being offline and it still popped up.

i care too... im pretty sure i can tell whether people have blocked me and then unblocked me by the speed of them starting a conversation!

How is everyone testing their theories? If the block someone then unblock how do they know if the box pops up on that someones screen?
I am pretty sure i am righ though :smile:

me and LPK just tested it.

1) Both online
2) He blocked me
3) He unblocked me
4) I saw him go offline
5) He messaged me out of nowhere and I saw no popup saying he came back online
6) Hence the arsehole had blocked me :mad:
