Library fines

Hi guys,

Hope I am not intruding and studies are going well. I'm a reporter for Mancunian Matters and I'm writing a story on university library fines and I was hoping to get your opinions to feature in the article.

Just to put you in the picture Salford University charges on average £170,000 in library fines a year. The money is used to help improve services and buy new items/books etc.

I'd like to know if you think library fines act as a deterrent to people 'hogging' books, if you think they are enough and if anyone has any stories/personal experience of being dealt fines.

Cheers guys.

Sarah - Mancunian Matters.
