5 AS Levels - Good or Bad Idea?

Scroll to see replies

I am doing 5 full A levels and already have 1 AS on top of this. Although I did not do them at the same time, my current grades are
AS AABBC
A level B

I did this because it is part of my school's protocol. It was not my choice. If universities ask, I will just state this. This should not be a problem for you, but I would worry about workload. I cope okay with 4, however I would be pushing it at 5

The majority of TSR is going to say it's a bad idea.

Personally I think:
French
Spanish
English Lit
Economics
Philosophy

Would be a killer combo for ANY non science degree.

However, it's a bit of an essay workload... And I'd probably not do those 5. Perhaps see how your workload is and drop one if it's too much.

From those I'd drop Philosophy.

Yeah I definitely won't be doing a science degree! I think I'll trial the 5 and possibly drop 1 if it all gets too much.
