It is not democratic or peaceful with its invasion of Gaza and attitude of conflict with it's neighbours. As such Russia believes that it is ridiculous of Israel to describe itself as democratic given the above mentioned reasons.

Israel never claimed it was peaceful, merely stable. The UK is at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, but you would still claim it was stable. It makes no difference. Furthermore, Israel suggests that Russia goes back to their dictionaries and look up the word democracy. "Invading" Gaza (land which is rightfully ours) has no bearing on democracy in Israel.
