Applying for Bio Foundation year with little relevant experience. Personal Statement?

As the thread says, I'm applying for Biology courses which include a foundation year for those who did not take the necessary subjects. I'm unsure what exactly to include in my personal statement as I don't really have relevant experience as I previously studied Literature, Politics and History.

If I refer to work and experiences which have had positive and beneficial outcomes but are not directly related to Biology, will my personal statement be regarded as poor? Or is it acceptable in this instance as there are others in the same boat? I'm worried as the university I'm applying for is said to be big on personal statements.

Any response appreciated, thanks!

Why do you want to study the course? This is what you need to address in your personal statement. Then include further reading you have done around the subject and discuss areas of particular interest. You don't need work experience as it's an academic course not a vocational one.
