Change of degree - Art History to Architecture

I'm currently in the second year of an Art History degree at the University of Glasgow. Unfortunately it has taken one and a half years of discontent with my course to decide to do something different... I have sought advise from various careers guidance places and I now would like to undertake a degree in Architecture.
I was wondering what the possibilities would be for funding for BArch or DipArch would be as this is the primary deciding factor in whether I change course.
I have lived in Scotland for two years (for reasons other than education) and I believe that if I live here for another year then I could qualify for SAAS funding.
Does anyone know how student finance would work in this situation and if there is any chance of funding from other sources for a degree in architecture?
