Guys, do you get verbal abuse from girls about your appearance

I m a girl (in my twenties) For so many times in my life I have been called horrible names about my physical appearance, by boys and by grown up men. This has always been unprovoked. The instances are from strangers and a few times from people I know.
Its normally names like 'dog' 'ugly' 'man' to be short.

I have only been insulted by women maybe 2 times in my life , and even that was indirectly.
I love my male friends, but I've never opened up about being insulted like this by strangers.
(yes I suppose i would be considered unattractive)

I am asking the guys here, have you been insulted about your appearance in a nasty way by girls? (or other guys), does it happen often? and how does it make you feel?
