Photo ethnography on marriage

Hey

I'm doing a photo ethnography on marriage, and I've tried looking around but I'm not really sure what theories to relate to it or sociological meanings.

I was thinking Durkheim - solidarity? Social bonding? I guess rituals?

Symbolism of white dress, cutting the cake, first dance etc. ? Does anyone know where I can find readings on this?
