Hi there,

Good questions!

Living in Chichester isn't super expensive but isn't the cheapest. It is similar to what you would expect from other cities such as Brighton. Our Accommodation team have lots of private housing contacts that they can share with you if you wanted to get a rough idea of what student housing prices are like. You can email the team on [email protected]. Chichester has a variety of supermarkets that are close to the campus such as Sainsbury's, Tesco's and Lidl. In terms of things like gas, electric and bills, you may find this blog useful, it's the cost of living in Chichester as a student and how to save money - https://www.chi.ac.uk/blogs/cost-living-chichester-student-and-how-save-money.

Outside of campus, there is lots to do! Chichester city centre is just a 15 minute walk from campus and is home to many restaurants, pubs and bars. Students also enjoy going to Chichester Gate which has everything you need a cinema, bowling alley, trampoline park, fast food and sit-down restaurants. We're lucky to be so close to the coast too so West Wittering beach is the perfect place to go in the summer, lots of students go here to have picnics and take part in water sports. Chichester is super close to the South Downs so there is also lots of scenic places to walk. Just a 5 minute walk from campus, Chichester Festival Theatre showcases musicals which eventually make it to the West End so it’s a great place to catch a show before it gets huge (there are lots of deals and offers for students). This blog has lots more information on what you can do in Chichester - https://www.chi.ac.uk/blogs/top-things-do-chichester.

I hope this helps
