Phone at St As-help

Hello, I would like to know if getting a phone contract with free data (3g) is worth it. I am aware that there is wi fi in all residences etc.
Also if someone can recommend a couple of phone companies cuz Im from outside the Uk so I've no idea hehe

If you plan to travel outside of St Andrews at all, it would be useful to have 3G (especially if you like having internet access all the time). Aside from Starbucks/Costa and some restaurants, wifi isn't very accessible in other places. But if you're in St Andrews, every university building has wifi.

I have O2 and it works pretty much everywhere (though I've had some trouble getting a signal in the dance studio in the sports centre). Apparently EE is also good.
