KCL rejected me for Business Management :frown:

Finding hard to decide between an offer from Kings for medicine, or a deffered offer from UCL for medicine. Any thoughts about the two?

Do it now is my suggestion. Both UCL and KCL are really good. But they wont make a difference once you're working. So it would be beneficial if u went for the offer for this year as that means u get ur degree and license a year earlier.

Any international student for llb?
Did anyone else get deferred from International Relations and get given an offer for War Studies?
Also, will anyone else be 17 on entry? I'm still going to be 17 for the first month of uni, so I'm kind of scared of not being able to participate in much during that time...

Does it matter if I don't study PPL LLB? I chose PPL only. Is it a big deal not doing the LLB course?

I don't understand the question. PPL is an LLB. If anything is a more prestigious verson of the regular LLB.

From my understand you can apply to the PPL course and to the PPL LLB course. To do the PPL LLB course you have to apply twice to KCL with Law LLB.

I was wondering whether it matters if I have the LLB label or not on the degree.

No there is a confusion. I am a PPL offer holder so I looked into this for a long time.

You apply to the PPL course and the PPL is an LLB(one of the many LLB programs offered by King's), which means that you will leave King's with a qualifying law degree in Politics Philosophy and Law.

So every PPL is an LLB and after your name you may put PPL LLB Lond.(quite fancy)

Now, if you want to be considered for the 3 year LLB just for Law, or straight law as we call it , then you must apply twice to King's(I think that was what caused the misunderstanding).

Does that make sense? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

I have a biomed offer from Kings and still waiting on UCL. I think it depends on what type of course suits your priorities as to which is better... UCL is a bit more of a prescribed structure with fewer choices (you can stay biomed or 'steam' into a specialist subject after yr1) as opposed to a bit more freedom to mix things up at Kings. UCL has a bit more 'prestige' and higher league table ranking if thats important to you but lots of people say its perhaps a bit more formal a learning environment. If I was to get a UCL offer I'd be undecided too so I'm going to a kings open day in April for a closer look...

Are you leaning more towards one?

Hey!! Sorry for the late reply!! I am still so confused!! I like that kings doesn't have a really rigid structure and that there is more flexibility but I have always wanted to go to one of the top 5 universities, which is UCL. Oh did you get the offer from UCL??
I, too, am going for the guided tour in Kings on the 22nd of April, when are you going??

I didn't get an offer from ucl but I'd thought long and hard about it and was decided on kings for the flexibility a few days beforehand anyway. How about you- have you heard back from UCL?
I'm also going to the open day on the 22nd!

Just applied for accommodation! I put Stamford Street, Wolfson House, Julian Markham, Great Dover Street and Ewen Henderson (my course is at Waterloo). Has anyone else applied yet?
Hi guys, can anyone please direct me to where I can find help on writing a Postgraduate personal statement for King's or for any Post Graduate programmes in general? Thanks in advance!
