Im a year 12 student studying maths physics and chemistry and i want to get into a London uni. Almost all London unis require a level biology and so i am going to take a gap year and do a level biology in that year. I was just wondering whether imperial and kings College London would accept me for this or do all a levels have to be completed in the two years of sixth form?

I believe imperial only accept the required alevels sat in one sitting, but am not sure about kings. There are still plenty of universities that will accept chemistry and another science, including barts, and you will graduate with the same degree at the end of the course so I would recommend applying this year, but it is up to you.

Provided you receive A*AA in your first 3 A levels, I think most of them would be OK with you doing biology in a gap year. What you would need to check with them is whether you would need A* in chem in your first sitting or whether they would accept the A* in biology sat on its own
