Social Work - Suggested reading

I'm starting Social Work at Northumbria in September and wanted to get a head start and buy a few text books. Seems Northumbria decided to take the reading list down from their newly updated website. Anyone know of any key literature or books I should be looking at getting?

Hello Rach_B
Im a social work student going into my third year.
Some of the books I would recommend are:
Social Work- Alison Brammer
What is Social Work
Social Work and human development
Ant-discriminatory practice (Neil Thompson)
Practising social work law (Michael Preston-Shoot)
Social Work Practice

Some of the books, I can't remember the author but if you type the title in to amazon, it should appear.
Good luck!
