Best gym in Manchester for weights?

Hi guys,I will be living in Fallowfield from September and wanted to know which gym is the best for weight lifting thats close to fallowfield or the lecture halls. I have read that the Armitage Centre has a really bad free weight section, can anyone confirms this? Thanks.

I heard the armitage gym based in fallowfield campus is sweet, got everything you need, squat rack, dumbells, bench etc...

What you training for? Just general gym, or gym sport like powerlifting/oly weightlifting?
