I'm being tested for klinefelters syndrome :(

Does anyone on here have it, being treated or being tested for it and have any information as I am having a blood test this week.

It is a difficult phase for you but I am sure in 1 year , you won't be bothered about it whatever it is. There are treatment options available & I am sure you must be in the right hands. Life is always up & down journey. Good luck
I have it just google it, there's loads of info on the web about it. My doctor gave me a booklet about it which I had already read off the Internet. Quite a few doctors haven't really got a clue about it tbh.

Have you been diagnosed with it? I was referred to an endocrinologist and my appointment is 2nd dec
Yes, I last saw mine 2 years ago. They will do a blood test on you I'm not sure what you're like with needles but you should ask them to take it when your lying down, I'm ok with needles but as I had to fast I fainted when they were takn my blood. It wasn't a very nice experience lol

Haha . I had my blood test at my gp's and then got referred for testing for KS but my appointment isnt while 2nd dec. What happened after you got diagnosed?
I got tested at a fertility centre I then got referred to an endocrinologist which tbh didn't really do anything.
He said my testosterone levels were normal which I can't understand because men with klinefelters are meant to have low T.
I was due back for another appointment in August to check them again but have had to rearrange my appointment due to personal circumstances. There's nothing really to worry about unless you are suffering pretty bad with some of the symptoms.

Ah right okay, I have no clue what the specialist will say and do when I go see him at hopsital to get tested. Yeah my gp said my testosterone levels were 'low normal' but i think thats a symptom maybe... I am suffering with mental health issues, mainly. Depression is linked to KS though too
They will take a few tubes of blood off you its around 7 I think.
Low testosterone, anxiety and depression are also symptoms as are a few more.

Oh that seems alot. I do have some physical features, height, body shape etc, very little facial hair, depression, anxiety, but my gp asked me if i have testicles and I said oh god yeah
There are quite a few more problems that go with having KS as you get older like developing osteoporosis, being more at risk of getting male breast cancer and testicular cancer too, if your nuts aren't like grapes you might not have it lol

Yeah, I am aware of those too which has added to my stress. Wait,, what? I thought they are meant to be really small and hard, shrivelled? Thats the reason I thought I must not have it then because I dont have that problem. So could be something else
Their smaller then men without KS because they don't develop properly during puberty due to lack of testosterone, I don't really know if that applies to all men with KS though so you will have to wait for your results.
How did you're test go then?
It was ok, abit awkward having to get naked in front of two men but he said I am pretty sure you dont have it. I had to have a repeat blood test today so awaiting the results from them. He is sending a letter to my gp and me too. In my first blood test my FSH level was low. So he is doing a repeat. I am not sure what that means if I do have low FSH level..
FSH is a female hormone i think

both sexes have it, that's why he is having a repeat blood test to double check because it's not so good to have low fsh. It can cause secondary hypogonadism whereas klinefelters Is primary

Fsh is an abbreviation of follicle stimulating hormone tbh I'm not sure what any of the results meant on my results paper I had to use google. Did they not do a karyotype test? That would of proved if you had it or not.
