Enterovirus D68 is a bigger threat. It hasn't killed as many people as of yet but it is airborne, the knowledge of the virus is limited and the symptoms are similar to that of a cold so many who have it may think its nothing more than the average cold that they've picked up and therefore avoid going to see the doctor. It's been reported in numerous US states and all it takes is one infected child to come to the UK and there's a major issue. There is no vaccination for it.

Very very unlikely. It would be such a momentous change in the virus, one expert said it'd be like the common cold turning into polio.
