Splinters

Sorry, I may be a bit of a wuss! :p:

This afternoon I was a little bit tipsy, and playing pool in the pub with a few friends. Me and one friend decided to take our shoes off (was wearing socks) and I got a splinter in my heel, from the wooden floor. I thought I pulled it out, but now it seems that it snapped off and some of it is still in my foot, and it hurts :frown: . What should I do about it?

Watch War of the Worlds. It explains everything.

try using a nail to push it out the way it came in, if not, try soaking it and it might not hurt so much when you're trying to get it out. splinters are a B****!

Could try using a drawing ointment. Im guessing that its under the skin, rather than still sticking out. Try magnesium sulphate paste. Put you foot in some warm water for around 10-20 mins, then dry, apply the mag. sulphate paste and put a dressing over it.

I use a needle, clean, hack open the skin that has folded over the splinter. Squeeze both sides, get some tweezers and try and get hold of it.

Doesnt hurt that much.
