Firming Notts, deciding between: Lancaster, Loughborough (still waiting) or maybe Reading - if Edinburgh give me an offer they are definitely going to be my insurance.
hi i had my interview on wednesday for a primary education course with music specialism and i loved it all soooo much, its definitely gonna be my first choice when it comes down to it! just waiting in suspense for an offer
New to this so hope this comes through alright Just received my offer from Reading, i know I'm late to the party but does anyone know the accomodation situation? Should i be panicing trying to sort something out or has nobody really bothered yet?

I haven't really bothered yet. I'm going on a visit day soon then May time I'm going to worry about that because if it's first choice I think your more likely to get the accommodation that you put first anyway.
Nice one, think im going to looking into finances then apply after an open day too, see whats good and what's not so good then try and beat the rush, unless Ive already missed it haha

Accomodation applications for firm offer holders don't officially open until the end of March (it's slightly earlier for unconditional offer holders).
Yesterday I got conditional offer from Reading for the Real estate finance course. But I am still contemplating this option as work permit would be an issue after completing the course as I am an international student (Indian). Would like to know your and other TSRian view on this.
Hi Hitendra, Thankyou !! I can't wait to start ! I actually come from a farming background and I live in Shropshire on an arable family farm and my parents have properties that they let out so it was that that initially got me interested in real estate. I didn't know what to do with my life at GCSE's so my father told me to go to agricultural college for 3 years (that's what i'm doing now) and then I can decide what I want to do in my life My uncle is involved with property I have spoke to him about it and it really interests me so I went for it and will be leaving the farm with a manger back home so dad said no pressure to go back. As for Reading I have been for experience over the last year with various property development companies and they've all told me to go to Reading if I can get in, they all highly regarded it, mainly for the contacts that you can make there, the alumni network looked very impressive too. I like London and hope to move there in the future so I looked into going to a few in London but decided that Reading had a very good reputation and was easily commutable to the city What about you ?
Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed the open day and are considering the university as one of your top choices.
Of course if you do get an offer from Reading, coming to the university is dependent on your overall results, so I can't answer that question for you. The entry requirements for Psychology are AAB-ABB as specified on the website so your AS grades are promising. Good luck with it all!
Feel free to ask any more questions. Pip, third year English Literature and History of Art
Hi, I have applied for English Literature at Reading and need ABB. If I was a grade below the requirements come results day, would I still get in?

Hello,
In response to your question, the university can straightaway decline your place because you haven't achieved the grades required. In the instance that they do accept someone who hasn't achieved the required grades, this can depend on a variety of factors. This can perhaps include what grades you received and more specifically what marks you got which shows how far away you were from gaining the required grade. It can also depend on the amount of students on the course and the competition amongst other people applying. There is no guarantee that you will gain a place at the university if you missed the grades required. I'm afraid you cannot know until results day which I know can be very stressful.
I'm sorry I can't give you a more definite answer but I hope that helps a little. Good luck! Pip, third year English Literature and History of Art
Anyone has ever had a skype interview with potential supervisors? I'd just like to know your experience. Plus, do you add them to your contacts on skype or just wait until they video call you? sooooo nervous right now.
I have an unconditional offer for BA theatre I'm actually a current 1st year student at reading studying english & italian, but I found that it wasn't the right course for me, so I'm starting again in september completely anew. I can answer questions about accomodation, campus etc cause I've done it all once already!

Hi, I am applying for accommodation when it opens for unconditional offer holders (I'm on a gap year). I like the look of McCombie and Greenow halls but someone said they are mostly second years - if I applied there presumably they would allocate specific floors for freshers?

Hi! I've never heard the 2nd year thing, most people move off campus so there wouldn't be many returners in halls. Greenow & McCombie are arranged into flats of 6 or 8, and it's guaranteed that your flat will be freshers only.
