Economic History/Economic and Social History

Hi, is anyone currently reading this subject at Edinburgh if so are you enjoying it. Or has anyone taken courses in Economic/Social History - if so what were they like?

I just started an MA in History and I opted to do social history as part of it. Social history lectures have been pretty interesting so far, giving you an insight into the past lives of people. It's good of you don't like too much political history.

My last lecture was on well... sex ^_^ Ok, so 'Birth and Marriages' in the 16th to 18th century is more like it...

Yeah, its not that I dislike political history (should I come to Edinburgh, that is, its my first/second choice at the moment) I would hope to take political history modules in the 1st/2nd years - but the economic history at honours level looks really interesting like the US Economy 1918+ or the Attlee Government and the Economy.
