Yeah, I'm sure they would be. Rioting doesn't add anything to an argument, though, so it's just pointless. People who riot are idiots.

For people saying there are no souls, the vicar believes there are souls which makes this (apparently) so bad. Provided that the house belongs to the church's current vicar (so after this guy the next vicar will live there and so on) I think it is reasonable to build a home there. The money and if it could be better spent elsewhere is another matter though, as is how the building went ahead despite apparent local disapproval.
