It's probably not a bulb warning light - in the sense that such a thing doesn't exist.

You will have up to four light-shaped symbols on your dash, of which you will have a green one for dip-beam headlights, a blue one for main beam headlights, and possibly a green/orange one for front and rear fog lamps. These are not warning lamps that tell you that something is broken: they are lights to remind you that they are turned on.

not my dashboard but a couple of examples of the light I was talking about. It's called the bulb check light or bulb warning light.

Don't worry I know that the other light symbols are for, i'm not a female


edit: I've tested everything which has a light and narrowed it down to the side lights. Is it possible that they put the wrong type of bulb in?

It's the same on my sons car and it's intermittent. Only comes on when driving so if its to say your lights are on surely it would come on when engine stopped or it would be on permanently. The book also says its a exterior bulb fault
