What do you look for in a driving instructor??

I have been putting off learning to drive for so long. Finally getting round to it and wanted to know how on earth I decide which instructor/school to go with??? any help would be apreciated

The ability to drive.

You're best bet is to avoid the big schools who like to discuss the theory of driving but not the practice. Waste of time and horribly overpriced.
Haven't been in this situation, but I would imagine;

Not too expensive,
Patience,
Knowledgeable, etc- although, to be fair, other than the first option, I don't know how you would be able to determine whether they are anything else I've included before having lessons with them.

This is the problem im having LOL!
Look out for reviews. It's based on price, knowledge, reliability, reasonable pass rates (leave exceptions but lower pass rates aren't good for instructors as they are probably crap) independent instructors are better than the bigger companies as they value you more.
