Deferral of exams due to extenuating circumstances

How lenient are Birmingham with deferral of exams? I've been suffering anxiety as a result of university work, have visited my GP about it, and spoken about the possibility of deferring exams, which she backs up. Is this likely to be accepted as extenuating circumstances, allowing me to defer some my exams from May to August?

In general with a doctors note - yes. They will allow you to defer.
