general studies AS (Moved - THINK Campaign)

anyone sit the AS genral studies exam today how pointless is that subject an AS level in a subject where we had no lessons (well 1 evry 2 weeks tht i bunked) i did an hours reading b4 with my head of 6th form and that counts...

I did General Studies AS today (Unit 3 Edexcel, what about you?). Yes it is pointless. However, for some reason I signed myself onto it and have been teaching myself the subject...well, for the past few days anyway! For some stupid reason I'm doing all the AS and A2 papers this summer (6 f*ckin papers!). Kinda regret signing up for it after today!

Not that I'm anti-General Studies mocking (I think it's a stupid and pointless subject they made us study at my college) but that is a Critical Thinking type question, picking out the arguments used and the evidence that supports them then criticising or extending them. Hey, in my exam we had the much worse task to "define cool" and then had to say whether we thought coolness was something you were born with or whether you could develop it! :biggrin:
