Primary PGCE

Hey all

I want to be a primary school teacher, but i want to specialise in ICT / Computer Science, ie be an ICT Teacher! I got a 2.1 degree with honours from Liverpool Hope back in 2014, had to take a year out from university to go back to college and get some GCSE's.

Now im on the hope website and in UCAS and im confused on what course i should be applying to, their Primary PGCE (X100) says nothing about ICT and if you read the leaflet they only speak about maths!

So this brings me to a conclusion of either im blind and can't see the course, or liverpool hope does not do this course.

Another option could be that once your on the PGCE course you choose the subject your wanting to teach, but i wouldn't know! I've not started it lol. So im here for advice!! HELP!!

Failing that ill go to the university after the easter break and ask for help there too.

I spoke with an advisor on the Teach gov website, and they told me sort of the same thing, but since i want to be an ICT teacher ive decided to go for secondary instead and specialise there!

Im going to put Hope as my first choice ofc, love this university and considering i got my degree there would be awesome to come back to. I got my first placement in a school for work experience too in 2 weeks! thanks to SEP!

My UCAS application is in! Woo, hopefully ill get accepted

I've done 1 day experience so far, and planning with the school to do more days, additionally my skills tests are booked in too!
