I'll be going to Leeds in a month and I want to be better prepared by learning some British slang. That way I won't be completely confused all the time, struggling to keep up with what people are saying.

Just say ''like'' 45 times in 3 sentences inbetween words, and you'll be ok

OP this is good advice. The yorkshire accent and dialect are distinct and can be difficult to undestand at times. You could watch northern films like the full monty or brassed off, this might help.

loool neeeever go to Attack the Block for slang it was so bad. Ill Manors and Kidulthood might be better slang, for Landan anyway. Attack the Block will make you look a fool. It was overloaded and not right.
