Creative and Media Writing at Portsmouth University?

Im new to this site so bare with me. I've just finished A levels with ABC or 330 UCAS points (not the new system) and am taking a year out to get work experience and try to save some money. I want to study media and creative writing. I live just outside of Birmingham and Portsmouth is much further from home than I really want, but from what I've seen (online, haven't been to an open day yet) I'm quite taken with the course and the city. Has anyone studied this course, or a similar one, at Portsmouth and can tell me what it's really like? I'd like to know about the city, too- I'm an introvert and an old soul and find myself more interested in the beach, little seaside shops, coffee shops, museums etc. than the nightlife (though I do like the occasional night out). This is probably much longer than it needs to be! Thank you to anyone who can help me with this :smile:
