Medical Genetics 2016?

I'm interested in doing the Medical Genetics course at Queen Mary.

The typical offer is ABB. I currently have AAAC at AS level for Bio, Chem, Math and Physics respectively. I'm planning on retaking Unit 1 for physics as that's the unit that pulled me down.

I'm thinking about leaving Physics at AS level. However, I don't have any work experience at a lab or basically anything relating to the course. Will having Physics at A level improve my application? (If the grade is a B or C.)

How important is having work experience for science courses for Queen Mary? Will I still be able to make it into the course without experience?

Does Queen Mary like interviews for their science courses? I'm an international student so a face to face interview is improbable.
