Neuroscience Stats help!

Hey guys! Just started my course and already need some help with statistics.

I need to work out the incidence per 100,000 per year and would like to clarify my working out.

for e.g. if the population of males is 1,830,096 and there are 30 pedestrian fatalities do I work out the incidence by doing: 30/1,830,096
then do I multiply the answer to that^ by 100,000? That gives me 1.6 (2 d.p.) but that doesn't seem right.

(The last time I did maths was at gcse so please go easy on me)
30/1,830,096 is your incidence as a ratio. That answer times 100 is your incidence as a %

Thank you for clearing things up for me!
I may post things later on as this is just the start of the module :h:
