Becoming a Lawyer with a Psychology Degree

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice.
I'm in the final year of my psychology degree and looking to get a 2:1, although in my second year I ended up averaging a high 2:2, but last year wasn't particularly good for me. I'm now working extra extra hard, have picked modules I'm actually interested and really want to be able to practice law.

So I was wondering what the BEST route would be to becoming a lawyer?
I've noticed that there are 2 years masters in law, but also I could take a GDL and then an LPC. Both are really expensive routes though, since funding for masters are up to £10,000 only and with the GDL and LPC I'd have to take out a bank loan (although I have terrible credit so I'm not sure if they'd let me have one?).

And is it a good idea to work alongside those courses? I'm aware I may have to wait a year since money is a big concern for me so will have to work and save and also if I wait to finish my degree then I'll hopefully be able to present a 2:1 when applying rather than the 2:2 I've received for my second year.
