Help with Luck Egalitarianism

Hey,

I'm writing an essay entitled 'According to what principle should resources be distributed?' for Political Theory. I've done some background reading on Luck Egalitarianism and understanding the the basic concept. - In the lecture slides provided by my lecturer, he makes reference to Cohen and Luck Egalitarianism (LE) and states that it is a more 'socialist' attitude to LE. Can anyone explain to me how Cohen build on this? - I've tried looking for his books in my library but they're all currently checked out. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
