Post-Applicant Events - are they necessary to go to?

I've got hella offers, and I'm pretty sure on where I want to go so I don't feel like I need to travel across the country to go to any of these post-applicant events i've been invited to talking about my course and accommodation and all that. But do the unis take note that you've been there? And are they more likely to let you in if you've taken the time to show that you're interested by visiting.
