Essay word count

Hello,

I was wondering if 1650 words are enough for my essay cause the word length must be 'approximately' 2500 words (not including appendices). I can exceed the word count above by up to 10% but it doesn't say 10% less. I won't see my lecturer until Wednesday and that's my deadline day.

Are you not able to email your lecturer and ask? At my uni we can do 10% below or over,but even at 1650 words,I'm pretty sure that isn't 10% below 2500 words

It will take few days for a reply. But it does not say 10% below instead it says approximately or 10% above.
