This is just absolutely horrific. You would think in the liberal, post-enlightenment world we wouldn't have to deal with this kind of hideous extremism. I know America has it's problems with homophobia but even so... this is just something I wouldn't imagine happening. Of course, who knows, maybe it wasn't a homophobic crime, but I feel like it probably was.
