Is going away during october too risky for oxford applicants?

Next year I want to apply to Oxford but I also really want to go on a ten day school trip during the half term. The trip ends a few days before the exam would be assuming it is in early november - and I'm worried this is going to affect my chances. Any advice from people currently going through/who have already been through the oxford application process? is it too risky to go on this trip?

Oxbridge interviews are usually in December/late November, you'll probably be fine.

you might be allright, if you start preparing for the exam much much before. 10 days isn't going to do much damage, but you should know what your capable, whether you can take an exam after coming from a trip?
