psychology - respected/enjoyable?

so i am in year 12 and have picked psychology as one of my a levels

it seems like a lot of work but i have heard its not that respected, anyone know the truth if it is?

i have only had two lessons and they havent been that great so far, we have just talked about short term and long term memory, so does the AS course at least get any better?

any comments would be appreciated
I enjoyed the AS course, and would certainly reccomend it to somebody looking for advice with what to choose. Some parts of psychology are really boring (wait till you have to do research methods...), but there is a lot of it that will (or should) interest you. Like conformity, obediance, stress and abnormality etc.

depends why you picked it? there are some dry bits like in any subject but there are some really good bits aswell. It is respected a little i think but seen as soft! tahts only if you are applying to go to oxbridge
It starts of boring with memory and stays boring. It's crap.
