Welcome to the forum
As the only Engineering graduate thus far on the Society, I'm sure you'll be an asset.
And by that I mean your uber knowledge will come in handy for my Electronics subjects
I tried to sponge of a french engineer last year, but the continental differences were too much. I'm sure the British-American systems will be more on par

Mostly I just copied the members list from the old Soc and put it into my own layout.
SOME members that were on the old soc have yet to be added since their details are incompleted, but I've sent out PMs to all those folk asking for details, so they should be up soon.
Also, there was quite a lot of folk from months ago who haven't yet been accepted as members! You should all now be members, bar a few people who I have PMd with questions about their membership.
And lastly. If you are most definitely already a member, and you have NOT been PMd and you are NOT on the list could you please post your details or PM me and I'll get you added. the classical studies... i minored in it while i was slaving away in engineering... #whip#i didn't work while i was in uni and it's really hard trying to find a job b/c i have no work experience. #ashamed# so my only choice is to go back to school.

Surely you would be better doing a Masters in a professional subject, then, rather than doing an arts course like Classical Studies, I don't reckon it'd boost your employment potential unless you work during this degree or just intend to be a bohemian academic all your life(a lifestyle I'd envy).

true. i had thought about maybe accounting. but i was thinking about which engineering classes i enjoyed vs the ones i hated. and the hated classes were greater than the enjoyed classes. what part of the field are you specializing in?

.Although, later on we may specialise in Avionics, so for the first few years there's a lot of grounding in electronics. Not much, but some.

well it should be pretty basic electronic stuff... right? No microcontrollers, diodes, writing code (C, Java, C#, C++, etc.), doping, electromagnetics, transmission lines, etc?

Not thus far, but in later years there's the option to specialise in avionics(which so far, seems to be the option that appeals to me most!)... so when it get's to that I'm thinking it might start to involve these complex concepts you speak of!
