Loooool have you only been watching football since last year? Where is Solskjaer last minute winner against Bayern in '99 or Drogba's equaliser against Bayern in the 2012 CL Final? Or Gerrard's ridiculous 90th minute screamer against West Ham in the 2006 FA Cup Final?

Or...and I am a Chelsea fan choking up on just thinking about it, but what about Andres Iniesta's last minute equaliser in the 2009 Champions League semi final second leg against Chelsea???? The footballing world went into chaos that day. I'm still scarred by those events.

The goals you've mentioned that I've highlighted are goals that have no meaningful impact to the overall result of the season. A last minute equaliser or winner in the league for Liverpool may/may not impact them in the overall outcome of this season, but we won't know that until we find out who the winner is, and by how many points. For example, if Liverpool win the league by one point, that Sturridge goal can be seen as a very big goal...but Mahrez also missed a penalty at Anfield in the last 5 or so minutes, so we can then say that Mahrez miss is what cost City the title.

Very well said.

In English domestic football the most dramatic last gasp goal is surely Michael Thomas’s at Anfield in May 89.
It may be before almost everyone here were born but you must have seen it .
Ashley Young against Everton for Villa in December 2008 when Lescott scored for Everton in the 92nd minute, Ashley Young went straight down the other end and scored with the last kick of the game, Villa won 3-2.
Spain vs Holland

Extra time 116’ Iniesta
